  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Was that a yarelli? As kendragon kendragon said your posts were awesome.
This was a low land goonch, locale being west bengal india
Thank you

Terrible ? sorry....
Thank you

So sorry for your loss, those where some awesome fish
Thank you, this was my favorite tank among all the others

Yup, can't believe I did something like this

I am crying inside

Sorry to see this
I’ve done this once
But caught it before the night was over
That's a good save

Damn that sucks. :(
Yup, and these were like my pride and joy

Horrible ?

Doesn't change how much inspiration those fish and YOUR fishkeeping has been to others such as myself.

Thank you for sharing your fish with us. Thank you for the inspiration.

Lastly - My deepest condolences over your loss. I'm rooting for you to inspire us again though! ;)

Were the Dorado also 6 years old or just the Goonch????
Thank you

Atm don't know what I might do with the tank, although my Adonis has survived through my stupidity, have left him there alone now

The goonch and the Dorado were both got almost at the same time.

Don’t beat yourself up. We have all made mistakes at some point in the hobby.
not that it compares to your tank but in the mid 90s I had a grow out tank of about 100 African cichlids. Changing water and I didn’t realize I hadn’t turned the cold water up enough. Instantly killed all the fish when I poured too hot water in. Felt horrible.
I am sorry to see that. Some beautiful fish.

So why did not having the filter running for 24 hours kill the fish? I've heard this so many times but I wouldnt think one day alone without a filter running would kill the fish ?‍♂️

The filter also provides the surface agitation, and keeps the dissolved oxygen levels in the water, no filter no dissolved oxygen.
