That is the tank I want, they have 4 of them at my LFS for 899 with stand and 699 w/out. How much did you pay for yours?

just soft plumb it makes life alot easier i tried the hard plumb.... go get pool filter hose and cut to lenght

ok which one is true? some tell me hard plum is better ...now u said soft is good? i may need open new topic with that question....and yea i got that tank brand new tank glass top over flow kit (2) and a oceanic filter #3 (40galon) for 900$ everything is new ..thanks

good to hear that, now I know I'm not getting ripped a new one...

soft plumb is alot easier and just as good.... you would need to replace your bulk heads to do it right.... they are designed for soft tubing so just go soft.... it makes the whole thing so much easier.....

600gph is more or less the theoretical maximum for 1". In my experience, you'll have a hard time achieving that in the real-world. Even if you could, 1" AGA durso's are loud wide open. I have the same tank, and by the time it's quite, you'll be 1/2 way restricted (ie: 300 gph each), which is barely enough turnover for that size tank.

Here's what I did instead, for the same tank:
