thank ED but i wont messing with that cuz i still a rookie at this hobby ...and im not that handy like you ....but this's the pump that i was thinking to get Little Giant 4-MDQX-SC Aquarium Pump (rate 1325gph) is it true the pump cant be strong than the draine ..? tell me if that pump good to go with the rate of the overflow i'll order it asap..oh by the way the filter is oceanic #3 thanks guys

That way instead of trying to size them (on paper) you can go with whatever pump you see fit and always adjust it later, as needed. It also opens your options for using some of that 1300 flow for other things in the future.

hey ed, love your idea for using all 4 holes for drains, im getting a 180 megaflow and will do the same! a thought though, id run the excess from the pump where the t is back through the bio media, hey it cant hurt.

I paid a little over a G for that tank, too. I got mine from Aquatic Wildlife in Manchester. Try Exotic pet in East Hartford. They usually have a huge inventory of tanks and great prices on them. I wouldn't recomend livestock from them, though.
