And you must think that horses evolved so that we can run them fast in circles...humans I swear think they own everything.

Last time I checked, if it werent for humans "horses" as we know them wouldnt even exist so yes I think we own them.

I love horses and grew up with dozens of them, it does break my heart when I see an animal that is bred to be pure muscle but have light bones break its leg and then shot and killed, but I also understand how baisically my state's economy would be pretty much non-existent if it werent for these amazing animals and the industry that supports the state. I'd rather have a few horses die each year then 100s of thousands of people be out of work... :screwy:

yes while some things they say are right and kinda true, most of the garbage that leaves there mouth is retarted, but those are all those wierdo's who sleep in plastic underwear cause somehow cotton is derived from the hurting of some animal while harvesting.....

I have seen horses in bad condition here in the Philippines. :(

To me, these beautiful beasts should be treated well.. They work to death..

yes and all these carriage horses would be sent to slaughter ... because very few people would adopt with the economy the way it is now.. and all those people that the horses keep employed would be out of work... this is not the time to do this... you know i love horses.. i have through the years sacrificed more then anything in my life to keep them.. vet bills and farrier, food and hay is extremely costly.. not to mention the hard work... horses need a useful job in their life.. to counteract that cost.. mine don't work.. but mine are the few lucky ones... so far anyway,...as long as i am able and kicking...

I was surprised to readthis about peta .
PETA Employees Face Felony Animal Cruelty Charges.
In the early hours of June 15, 2005, two employees of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) were arrested in Ahoskie, North Carolina, and charged with 31 felony counts of cruelty to animals. A Grand Jury later indicted each defendant on 21 counts of Animal Cruelty and 3 counts of Obtaining Property By False Pretenses. PETA employees Andrew Cook and Adria Hinkle are expected to face a trial in Hertford County (NC) Superior Court on November 13, 2006. A few days after the arrests, local authorities told Greenville, North Carolina's WNCT-TV News that they had found more than 70 additional dead animals that may be connected to PETA.
When Ahoskie police arrested Cook and Hinkle, they discovered 18 dead animals in a shopping-center dumpster (including a bag containing dead puppies), and 13 more dead animals (including two kittens) in the PETA-owned van the two were driving. Police observed them throwing several dark-colored bags into the dumpster before the arrests were made. The animal-cruelty investigator for the Northampton County (North Carolina) sheriff's department shared her outrage with the Virginian-Pilot a few days after the arrests: "Some animals have to be euthanized," she told the paper, "but the way this crowd did it is sick."
