you want a beer

but you need to get away from the stresses of life.

thats why people get drunk

get get away from it all, to feel secure.

hahaha... slow it down there young Aurelius.

Is the only reason to drink and get drunk, to get away from the stresses of life?

How do the stresses of life go away when you are intoxicated?

One should refrain from making extremely bold statements such as "thats why people get drunk".... Obviously there is more then 1 reason as to why people get drunk, or drink.

A better, and less judgemental phrase would be -

"that is one of the major reason why people get drunk"

That allows for your biased point to get across without ignorantly shutting out THE other logical reasons.

taste is a matter of perception, especially GOOD or BAD taste.

I enjoy a few beers based on their taste, rather than their intoxicating qualities.

it doesnt taste good ill tell you that

Actually, if you drink the right stuff it tastes wonderful. I LOVE Jack on the rocks.

The only reason I "needed" a drink was to add fuel (in this case alcohol) to this rather amusing fire.

That is almost impossible to answer.

Universal words cannot convey the real perception of taste, smell, and sometimes even sight and sound.
