I have one, for a while now. About 12 inches. I don't think I saw him move for the first month!! Now he is really active when the lights are off (even if its light in the room) and swims around in the light when there's food in the water. I think eventually he will be active all the time it just takes time. A couple hints ive learned. Dont worry if he doesnt move. Ive seen mine sit there in the middle of the tank with rays almost tasting him and he still did not react. Secondly they will snap at anything they think is food and the there mouths are huge!!! Good luck. I really like mine just be patient with him being up and around..

Thanks so much! I was pretty worried about him especially after seeing youtube videos of them pacing the tank. what are you feeding yours? are they personable fish? sorry for all the questions lol

No problem, mine eats massivore, frozen krill but loves cut shrimp, once shrimp hits the water he is like a shark circling the tank. Smell seems to get them going so drop some massivore in after dark and you should be good to go. Personable.. I wouldnt say that, he doesnt look for me only food!

okay, thanks. I tried to feed shrimp tilapia and sinking carnivore but he didnt even look at it. Ill probably just give him some time.
