he looks good archers

Thanks!

Awesome fish! What's the growth rate like on these guys?

Thanks, im not sure the growth rate but theyre huge eaters so im assuming pretty quick.

My favorite catfish. I love how much they look like sharks. The only time I've ever seen one in a store it was 230 dollars and I knew that was way too expensive.

Thats what I was thinking. They even swim like sharks. I got mine for 75 bucks no way that id spend 230

Looks a bit thin, bony. Probably from shippers and sellers not wanting it to grow fast and not wanting to feed too much because of the waste. Hopefully, he will start eating for you soon. $75 Canadian? I must have missed, what size? I've seen several 1'-ers at Snookn21 fish-house. They are usually over $100 US, more like $125. There is one ~9" at one of our LFSs for ~$120.

had abit if an incident last night. the cat has a large wound on his side my original thought was tha maybe the polypterus had a go at him but now i suspect that he scraped himself on something because the cut isnt deep.

I finally caved and got him some rosy reds. Just so he had something in his stomach, his wound has healed and he is more active, ill update with more pics soon.

TBTB: to answer your question from the other thread, the cat got about a nickle sized wound on his side, I originally suspected that a poly bit him but after further inspection it appears that he might have just grazed it on some driftwood. I ended up separating him from the rest of the fish and dosing the whole tank with melafix and salt. It was amazing how fast it healed, only took like 4 days and hes back to normal.

Ive only had mine for a week and abit now but in my experience they are very passive fish but will eat any thing that fits in their huge mouths
