By starry night you mean Papyrocranus afer right?I have kept a few successfully with cichlids. The best was by far the star night knife mine was a beast and was more aggy than the cichlids. Currently I have a bgk in with my jag and he don't even bother him, with large enough tank and hiding spaces it can be done
