ok so my 2 oscars keep picking at... everything else... a lil on the aro mostly on the 7 angels... trying to think of some way i could stop it or at least preocupy them... i was thinking add a couple more oscars but that could either make in 2x worse or actually work... either way dont really want to try it.... maybe adding some other fast yet sturddy cichlid so it will draw the attention of the oscars but they wouldnt really get bothered too bad by them... i really want firemouths but idk if that would help or hurt the problem... cause ive heard the firemouths are more bark then bite... but what do u think i should do... i could add plants cause right now i have non but that would take away from the look im goin fo... what u think... heres the tank.

Angels are the worst tank mates for oscars. How big is the tank? Your best bet is to choose oscars or angels and build the tank around them.

Its a 220... I figured they pass eatchother in the river all the time... And ive had a couple friends with this combo

But you have to remember a fish tank is not a river, or any other naturally occuring body of water.

Oscars and angels = dead angels. They are too agressive for angel fish. In the wild angels are in huge vallsenaria beds. Oscars stay more under driftwood and rocks. Plus in a river etc there are thousands of gallons opposed to 220. Its one or the other as was said.

It also depends on the personality of the fish. I have seen super aggressive oscars, and I've seen some share tanks with small fragile fish. If you get them on pellets and off of live it will make them less aggresive towards weaker fish. It really depends on the individual fish a lot of times.

sometimes oscars can be real jerks to other fish and others are like a kitty with fins. im guessing yours are just more of the aggressive type it all depends on the individual personality of your fish. and i agree with woofy, angels aren't the most popular tankmates for oscars.
