Aimara vs GATF vs Other

Not shy to admit my Curupira ate my dorado a few days back. (13 inches vs 7 inches). :(

It was probably due to hunger instead of aggression as the black wolf is still new in the tank and I was periodically feeding it with market prawns rather than feeders.

The better size difference would be perhaps 10 inches thereabouts (20-30 percent smaller).

This is the tricky part as most dorados I kept or seen are very belligerent and they have the speed and mass to do serious damage.

It will be a wonderful mix but do try to get the correct sizing for both fishes.

I wouldn't try keeping a thinner more elongated fish with a wolf smaller, if anything it should be bigger, and with aimaras, they have the aggression to hold their own with most fish. I forgot about your dorado when you posted about you getting the curu and only commented on the fact that he might eat your smaller wolf. Wolves are fast ambush predators so if they want something they'll get it regardless, especially once lights go out. If I were to keep the two together I'd do same size because they both have the potential to be highly aggressive and do serious damage. And I'd be worried about the wolf eating the dorado if it were more than 2" smaller at sizes under or around a foot. whereas if the wolf is smaller you wouldn't worry about the dorado eating him unless it were a significant size difference
