Working as I have in animal rescue for the past 30 years or so I've seen the sad results of people who thaught it 'responsable' to shoot cats...small dogs....rabbits....ECT. with air rifles.

I handgun hunt large game and reload my own ammo so I do know a bit about ballistics.
A properly placed stone if thrown from a short distance CAN kill an animal the size of a housecat but in most cases all it does is cause the animal pain and discomfort.
By the way the Director of the Maricopa county animal control is a personal friend of mine...it's illeagle to kill housecats feral or not in the state of AZ.

Too give you a "real life scenario" I have property in Utah which has a fence line where the ground hogs dig their tunnels. I have dropped these little buggers in one shot at up to 150 yrds away on a calm day.

Dur lol.... I have had many beers.. You lost me there. IMO, there is no better pellet gun than a Beeman.

Beeman is good, But they're more into Co2 rather than break barrel. I like crossman and Gamo.

Just for your information, I never stated where or when I killed any cat. But thanks for you concern.

BTW, are you aware that there are many laws that make cat owners exempt from any and all property damage caused by cats? There are also laws that make it legal to kill said cats while in the act of performing said damage.

But thanks for your input.

Just for clarification, there is no such thing as a feral housecat.
A feral animal is one that has reverted from the domesticated state to a stable condition more or less resembling the wild.

Hardly makes it any less irresponsable does it?

I'm talking about the law in AZ saying that it's illegal to kill cats...

I guess I am totally missing your point.
