Albino Senegal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My ornante is kind of like that. He is more reclusive so the dels usually grab the food before he can get to it right away. So I usually try to feed that tank twice a day with once during lights on and once during lights off and also try to make sure I spread the food on both sides of the tank. Even though I don't see him eat much he must be because he's not losing any weight. So try spreading it about a couple times a day both with lights on & off and see how he does.

Ok thanks.

Couple updated pics. Been about 6 weeks since I got these new lil' guys and been growing them out. They are doing great. Both have brown. I'd say the albino has put on about 1" in the past 6 weeks now and the regular sen has really grown fast. He's put on close to 1.5"-2" in 6 weeks I would say. Both eat very well, pellets and thawed krill mostly.

Congrats on the new fish! I have an albino myself, smallest poly I have but the most active and friendly one. They top out around 10” so, I believe. Very inquisitive and come right up to the glass when I approach the tank, as opposed the the others who are basically logs. My 15” ornate runs away if you so much as look at him sideways. But the little albino is always frisky.

FishBeast FishBeast I feel ya on the ornate being like that. I have an ornate as well that is about 11" and usually he's behind his log with just his head sticking out. If by chance he comes out when I'm not around then soon as I see him I try to sneek up slowly to the tank to get a good look at him but soon as he sees me he runs and hides.
