I read so many threads on different forums about how to get rid of algae.
But maybe it's easier to work with it.I do in my thorichthys helleri tank.I have even grown algae on branches in separate tanks next to a bright window to put in my display tank once it's grown.
My swordtails appreciate it and I often see them graze on it.
Below is my helleri tank, I have no plants in there just algae.
It's free too.

nice natural look, shows a healthy tank!-)

I like the look of that tank. IME mollies/swardtails, SAE's and roseline sharks ie dennison barbs are the best algae eaters I've ever kept.

Great look. Alge doesn't bug me on wood as much as on glass though, which is why I'm about to get another 1 or 2 bristle noses for my display 125 =S do really like the alge wood look! Also I've seen a lot of nice sword tails lately, including yours. Anything particular you'd like to share about yours?

Nothing wrong with Algae. You just want to keep it managed

Hi and Thanks,
The swords are a wild strain that I believe we're collected for the first time fairly recently by Rusty Wessel. They are a strain of x helleri known as Rio otapa swords, named after thier collection point. They ate said to be one of the largest of swordtails.
Here are a few more of them.
