Algae out of control!~! Help!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I used Stability by SeaChem which cycles it... and it's just in the water not on the glass.

It's that "natural" stone stuff... 1 pound per gallon.

I bought a brand new tank from a saltwater fish store(100 gallon), and it has saltwater lights, This tank is freshwater and the water is always green! Phosphates are at 0, and I have to Emperor 400 power filters running and also I have PhosGuard in there. Water changes are done a lot! Especially now that it's so bad, in fact the other day I did it so the tank only had 6 inches of water left, and now it's all green again, is there any ideas? All help appreciated!
maybe from the green tinit of the glass

There's no green tint though...
maybe the tanks not fully cycled.. darn cycle takes awhile sometimes
did you test for nirates ?

I wouldn't rely on stability to cycle your tank. The only product that I heard worked was marineland's bio-spira and that is pretty hard to find. So fishy or the more recommended fishless cycles are the way to go.

yeah man, Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia, Phosphate, everything's at 0

So 2 sections of 2x65 = 260w in your 100g.

I'd suggest leaving the lights off, light feeding, and daily water changes till the water clears. Not enough time for tank to cycle imo.

I just had the water completely perfect Saturday and it's monday and you can't even see my fish

cut back on your lighting...maybe 2 much light...maybe try a uv light to clear up your water...just a thought...
