Bristlenose plecos have had success with snakes. Algae eating snails may also work. Most other guys may not last long.

May I suggest getting a culture of scuds (freshwater amphipods). They are a natural food source and are said to be some of the best algae eaters out there (I just ordered some, I’ll see if that’s true as my tank is covered in algae).

If it’s on the glass, I’d also invest in an algae magnet. Mine is more effective than any algae eater I’ve ever had and is much more low maintenance lol.

Nerites are the best bet, but they cannot breed in freshwater. I believe apple snails are algae eaters as well.

Amphipods are a type of crustacean that look like tiny shrimps. Hyalella azteca is the freshwater variant. Not sure if they will eat glass algae though.

Are the amohipods easy to get as they will take care of it on the wood im assuming and the nitrate snails I jaut don't want eggs everywhere but I've heard there is actually a male and female instead of them being amothradites is that correct

Amphipods are somewhat easy. Lots of sellers but you do have to look. I got mine on eBay (best value without paying a lot of money).
I wouldn’t expect eggs from nerites, as they cannot breed in freshwater. I’m not sure if they are hermaphrodites or not.
FWIW I have breeding pond snails in a tank and the eggs are unnoticeable.

Will the shrimp type destroy my plants and I see the white eggs all over the petshops glass which are nitrate eggs thats the issue with them and the eggs hatch in brackish water and ill have a look for the shrimo now see what I can find

As long as well fed on algae or detritus they aren’t known to turn to plants. You may notice some damage, but if their population is controlled and they are fed it shouldn’t get terrible.

Well snakeheads might pick them off every now and then I might give it a go how big do they roughly get
