i know! i thought i had saved it somewhere, but apparently did not...i had to search through your posts to find it again. makes me laugh every time (and sad how often it's appropriate on the forums :)) --

it is sad how much we need to use it. but it is soooo fun to use
 
I had the same thing on my gar's belly and throat. It didnt rub off nor did it seam to affect him. The water was fine and he seamed to be as well and after a while i started checking on him in the dark and it went away at night?? Watch him close and see if it gets any better i guess, otherwise i would say talk to your LFS. Sorry i hope this helps.

if it goes away at night it is just pattern.
 
If the color becomes dark during the day and fades away at night then I'm sure its just the gar's pattern. I had the same experience but didn't give it much attention. I believe the color on your gar's back is dark gray with greenish shade. right?
and by the way, I had a good time reading and laughing about the snails ride. no offense on either side!
