sorry to hear about your loss dude.

No heater's tank maintained temp @ 83. Maybe the oscar did puke. It's odd how the water was getting cloudier buy the minute. I seriously questioned that she sabotaged the tank we did get into a argument earlyer that day. And get this she called me today on my way to work and told me the dog(a three year old bull terrier) wasn't eating or drinking and not wanting to move. Now you guys are really gona think it's her for sure !! Maybe I'm the next to go? No she seam's really concerned and want's new fish. I'm taking the dog to the vet first thing in the mourning. I haven't yet but will test the water . That was over 6 years And hundreds of dollars in fish that just pooofed & Die Hope I find out Why. If the fish did puke would the ammona be that strong????

Very sorry :(

do you have a drip system? are you living near a manufacturing company or vegetation field? i ask this because when i was working near a strawberry farm they would need signatures from each office/house/building to spray chemicals for their vegetation. i was wondering maybe it was air droplets that came in contact with your fish and now with your dog. with regards to the drip system... maybe your water quality is going bad. having a whole tank with dead fish is too much and to make more suspicious... your fishes were tough ones and not those delicate stuff. your dog is another one. dogs can tolerate plenty of things but having them sick means something is going on in the house or around your living area. just a though... insecticides? perfumes? ... anything air droplets can affect both your dog and fish. try finding the culprit.. you don't want to be next.;)

I do live near feilds and my water is on septic I also irrigate my propety. thats some thing that i will investigate. I do share my water w/ 3 other homes & they have pets as well.

it would either be droplets from chemicals or water...you might not be affected but animals are different. ;) careful and investigate to avoid problems in the future.:)
