ALL FISH DEAD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Soory for your loss dude. I would think the oscar or the tsn puked up feeders. Especially if you can't find any malfunctions anywhere. It sucks but you gotta get back to it. Learn from this (somehow) and move on you got a great big tank now get some great ]M[onster fish to go into it!

That totally sucks! Especially when you don't know what happened. I'm SO sorry!

I tested the water, the ammonia & nitrite levels were extremly high & were both @ 0 just days before & it was three to four days before this happened that I had did a water change/add new water. I'm thinking they puked up the feeders. My dog is now @ the vet an i.v. and under going tests. the bill is already @ $650.00 and I just drop him off. I will keep you guys posted & thanks for all the support & feed back ......

Well I know whats wrong with the dog at lest He had a goffer that was stuck in his instestines & just under went surgery to remove it ... Ghosh dang goffers.... So it wasn't the girl friend after all & now im prettery shure that the loss of all my monster fish was due to puking up the bad feeders.. Man i'm never going to by feeders again. I had just started producing my own too in another tank ,Maybe i should have done this sooner, from now on I will...

Wow, you are having a bad week! Sorry about your tank, that's a lot of fish to loose.

Hope your dog is going to be OK, poor thing!

So let me get this straight.... Your girlfriend put a goffer in your 240g fish tank for a little swim and than your dog ate the goundhog and got bloat. dude, what did you do to her?!?

in seriousness,
Sorry for your loss.:(

I think you should take your girlfriend to the Maury show, and put her through a lie detector test !!!! are you kidding, all women are evil !!! evil I tell you!!! evil !!!! (mermaid man from spongebob squarepants). What kind of feeders did you give them? The tank is 4 to 5 months old, what kind of filtration do you have on the 240? How much water was changed and how often? What was fed to them before the feeders and how many days apart? So many variables that could've happened, but I don't think the girlfriend did it...:)

240g
is big enough to handle the dead fish

There must be another reason. I once had a dead 8" pleco decomposing in a 55g with an Oscar and a Crenicichla for a few days and the water was really cloudy and both fish survived.
Your tank is 5 times this size. There must be another reason.

Thats strange, suddenly the water becomes cloudy and the smell changes. I would say that something was dropped into the tank. Sorry to hear your fish loss.
