I've only seen pics of females up to 30",and males smaller,if this guy is only half grown....Crap! I better start looking for a bigger tank!! lol

here is mine, got him in January '10, he was around 6.5". i would assume he is around 2.5 years old. Not mature, and only 11". eats anything, especially pellets!

I agree i think they are bullies but cannot take to be bullied. They do love to eat and eat pretty aggressively.

I am assuming he competes well with the Blacks during feeding. He is definitely unique and nice.
 
i hope to see more flower and black ray combos might give me the courage to try it out sometime
 
had my flower for around 9 months.. she was almost 14" and was doing fine with my big hens. on a random day they just gave her a beatdown so she was moved in with some smaller ray. did fine for a month then got beat by the lil ones. 2 day later she died .still was fat....

Why is that so strange dude? I know mine is bigger than some of my buddies,same age too lol !!
My flower is also not as gifted.he is showing interest but i don't think he is indowed enough I'n the right places yet lol! But he's trying and prob around the same age too? Just my theory it makes sense ,nothings going to mature at the exact same time!

IMO flowers are the nicest rays.my flower is super active and my favorite out of all my rays.i want to get him a female but i know he will just stress her out and kill it.he's relentless towards his new girl friend the xingu ray
