All male 185 stocking questions

The more similar males appear to each other, the higher the risk of ramped up aggression between them.
 
I agree with the posts by RD throughout this thread. Except maybe the clown loaches, LOL.

In my all-male tanks, the color did matter for peacocks...example my blue neon did not color well with the stuartgranti maleri island.

Oddly enough the flavescent and the maleri were fine, but no color from the blue neon at all.
 
From all the advice I have gotten it seems like it's more about the fish and less about the "fish" I'm just gonna have to keep alternating Skittles till I get a good chemistry. Any one in northern VA keep African that may be interested in rehomes I don't move to breeding tanks ?

Just for the record, I never suggested that clown loaches were a good fit for this tank, IMO they aren't. I only stated the pH that I have successfully kept assorted loaches in over many years of keeping them.
