all this "pics don't do it justice"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here is my example. Which picture looks better? One reflects how the fish looks, one is close-- but a bit off. Both are decent pictures.

So, if the top pic is the BEST I can get, why is it so bad to say that the fish does look better. More times than not it's true!

I agree with you Rallysman. Both great pic but the bottom pic does the fish way more justice.

Saying a photo doesn't do a fish justice is fine IMO as it is often true.

As for those blurry pics that make you squint like you were looking at a magical 3D picture, waiting for the image to pop up and scare you.Well they can be annoying but only if someone has requested an ID or for it's sex to be determined.

You guys are trippin hardcore. My camera sucks and in no way do the pics come out looking anywhere near as good as seeing the fish with your own eyes.I am not the greatest photographer but I'm not horrible, other than my hands shake pretty bad.

The only way I can get my pics to even almost turn out the way I see it with my own eye is from about 7-8 feet away and only when all the fish are swimming in place perfetly still. My camera takes the pics like 6-9 seconds AFTER I push the button so to get a pic of a moving fish (and they are pretty much always moving) is to take a pic not of the fish itself, but of the location I suspect the fish will be in about,as I said,6-9 seconds. This of course causes my fish to be at least a bit blurry no matter what.

Its pretty much gotten to the point where Ive stopped posting pics till I get a new cam.

I guess what I'm saying is lay off maybe some people have bad photography skills but most of us who produce crappy pics actually have crappy cameras and other stuff to buy before upgrading to a better one.

Yea I hate these retards who are like. My fish is so much better then the pic. Ok heres an Idea. Go back to the room and take a picture to show how "this fish is beautiful and pix dont do justice." Also, I agree again how people take pix of a freakin blur and ask you to ID the fish, when you cant even tell there is a fish in the pic.

Its not exactly that easy. If they could have gotten a good pic in the first place they would have :screwy: Nobody wants to post crap photos of their fish.

I know for sure that my fish look much better in real life compared to the extremely crappy pix I post of them...which is sometimes why I will also add a video.

Another tip you can do is to learn how to use your camera manually. Most new cameras are set on auto and have laser that adjust for distance. They can have trouble staying locked on a moving fish or they can end up focusing on the glass instead. But I agree, it is really hard to get that perfect shot. Thats why you should always take LOTS of pictures and hopefully you'll get a good one from all those shots!

and that 1 good one still may not do the fish justice:)

I can't stand when somebody puts a completely awful, blurry fish picture on a thread and they want you to sex it. You know, the ones that look like they were trying to capture a picture of a running Sasquatch.
Yeah, all my FH pics come out like this,he to hyper!!

here here! I agree 100% (what I said doesnt do how I feel justice)
