allergic to fish food... anyone else?

Very common problem with BWs. Read about it a lot on the discus sites.

In terms of reaction to blood worms, I would really think that it has to do with them being larvae of mosquito. I do not pretend to be a chemist in this regard, but, I would think that it might have something to do with the anticoagulant that female mosquitos have.

you guy should never hold frozen BW with your hands, even if you not allergic to them, those thing are stink and hard to wash off the smell of mud.; and the red water from them can attract some bacterias in the air and those bacterias can make your hands itchy. I use a small cup to put BW in there and use a small stick to feed the fishes.

mosquito larvae are not blood worms! blood worms stick in the mud at the bottom while mosquito larvae usually stay at the surface.

Actually, they are Midge fly larvae, not mosquito. It even says that in the link you posted lol

I am also terribly allergic to that stuff. I'm not feeding BW anymore, there are a lot of other alternatives. Allergic reactions can get worst over time. Think about it, if you die, your fish might end up being owned by an idiot doing only annual water changes.

your not suppose to eat em!! hahahaha jk that sucks man
