Alligator drags Toddler in water at Disney Resort

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He's still quite young and coming up on two years.People say that he is big but there is a Cane Corso down the street that is twice his size.
Damn, your bull bit the UPS guy twice, how did that turn out?

But of if disney followed that logic mhh how many people would have stayed there ;)

That is the angle thats being presented.

and rightly so.

In all honesty i would have asked about that lagoon if my kids were playing in that area. Im neurotic like that. Not judging the parents who knows maybe they did ask.

You'd have to be pretty dumb to not know what a No Swimming Sign in Florida could mean. A good Parent would assume worse case scenario. It's fine I can agree there may have been a number of reasons it COULD have been there or interpreted, but seriously there should be #1 reason above all else you could imagine .....

DANGER!!!!

If it's dangerous and the rules say don't do it, do you really need to know why before you agree you "accept" their terms on their property why they are telling you to stay out or off a certain part of THEIR property?

Break my rules of my house, and it will be worse than an angry gator LOL

People would go running to the Gator like "Help...help me Mr Alligator, he's gonna kick my ***"

Have you seen any pics of the resort ?

If the park knew there were alligators in the water, they really should put a fence up. It may not be alligator proof but it would atleast act as a deterrent. It would also stop little kids from making their way to the water. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't alligators like to ambush prey from the water?

They should've also atleast had "warning alligator" signs. I don't think a lot of tourist would expect to find alligators on the park's property regardless of how big the alligator population is in the state. It's a freaken kids park, ya know. I personally wouldn't expect there to be alligators on the property. That was the most shocking thing I read about this. And because of people like myself, an unsuspecting tourist, signs should've been in place.

I love to blame the parents and say they don't deserve compensation but I feel the park could've done more. A park full of a million dumb kids and nothing put in place to let people know that alligators are present in the unobstructed water but a "no swimming" sign... Come on.

Anyways... I can't imagine being the parents. The dad tried to fight the alligator, right? Jesus.....

Not this particular one, but after 17 trips to FL for vacations and 6 months as a resident of Orlando area, I think I have a good idea what they look like :D

Mhh google it

You.mean to tell me that they shouldnt have posted something stating beware gators ? Cmon there is a splash pad not far from the shore. Unless you actually have kids you have no idea how fast things can happen. Kids could run off into that water in the blink of an eye
