Yeah, they seem to like each other. I woke up the other morning and found them laying side by side on the bottom. I got a really nice pic, I'll try to post it later tonight when I get home.
I was told the same thing when I tried to keep my two baby alligator gar with my foot long longnose gar. They would steal food from the LNG's mouth and it would retaliate harshly. Both of my 7" alligator gars bodies were visciously scarred up from the LNG thrashing them around in it's mouth.
I may be giving Logan too much credit for intelligence, but I think that he somehow instinctively knew that the two smaller alligator gars would pose a serious threat to him in the future and was taking proactive measures to rectify the situation.
I only had a couple of weeks until I had to come back here like a dog with his tail between his legs and here; I TOLD YOU SO!
Argh! Hope the flip/ flop scenario (larger gattor w/ smaller LNG) works out better for you!
