alligator gar, wolf fish, and bichirs

in regards to wolf fish.... ive only kept the rainbow wolf. never had issues with te wolf and my gar. in regards to bichers.... idk. i never kept any. they never really caiught my attention.

if you feed it the minimum amount of food that it need, the gar should grow up to 18'' in 1 year(considering you will get it at about 4-5''!)

Ha. I just got a Gator gar a moth ago at 4 to 5 inches its already 12 to 13" I put him in with a 12" Florida gar and was worried he was going to get eating now his girth it twice the size of the Florida gar. Now I'm scrabbling trying to figger out if I'm just going to sell it put it in a stock tank till next spring when I can put it in a outdoor pond. I should have read more about how fast they grew before getting one.

okay thanks, i was just going to put the wolf fish in a other tank but thank you now i can keep all my fish together

Gars and wolf fishes are not a good mix, especially alligator gars. The bichirs are generally fine with gars, but I can't make any promises considering that alligator gars are the most aggressive species of gar.

Also, an alligator gar will outgrow a 100 gallon aquarium in a few months if properly cared for, so keep that in mind.

oh okay so it grow fast! i'm not sure what gar i'm getting, now i'm hopping to get a spotted gar or florida gar
