alot of betta people?

Yes Ikhan , I'm a huge betta fan. I beleave tha if it wasn't for the betta this hobbie wouldn't be where it's at today. It was one of the very frist fish to be in a home tank around 1896. In 1910 it was the #1 imported fish in the word and among the frist if not the frist. Last year alone more Betta's was imported then any other fish combained { inclueding cichlids } It is still the # 1 imported fish with over 100 differnt spices.
Betta splender isn't just a fighting fish it's a history of our hobbie. It well be over 200,000 new hobbiest frist fish setting the foot work for future hobbiest around the world. I feel like if it wasn't for this little monster most of what we know as fish keeping wouldn't be here today. For if it wasn't for this { cuped wal-mart specail } alot of us wouldn't be in this hibbie as it was 3/4 of us frist fish.
A betta fan yes I'm a huge beta fan! I love breeding them raising them and just plane whatching them swimming in there tank.
 
a labyrith forum would not be used only for bettas but lots of other fish like gourmis(spelling). and i agree a SH forum would be good but its not pratical because it relates to only one fish it could be a sub forum. a labyrith forum would be more practical be cause it aheres to a whole rang of fish
 
I agree with that a labyrinth forum would also help those of us who keep fish from Africa and Asian desent. The paradise fish,gaint gouramis. There's over a 100 spices that falls into this group. But doesn't the Betta or fighting fish belong to the Osphronemidae family?
I guess the betta family fulls in to this group huh? LOL I guess thats what I get for thanking when I'm not set up for it. LOL
