Alternative food to massivoire?

Basically stinking up the house after feeding even when I pullout excess, which is a rare occasion. Is there another pellet out there. They are about 12" now. Been eating massivoire for a while now.

Health wise it's better and it's cheaper. Some fish won't eat it too easily though

I use hikari sinking carnivore which is basically a smaller version of massivore for my bichir. The stuff makes my water reek. I also use the 6mm NLS with garlic and I don't have any smell issue with it.

What would be the best way to get them to eat it considering they have been through 2# of it already? Starve them? They are about 12" now
