I feed my polys and big cichlids Tetra "Jumbomin" sticks (used to be called tetra cichlid jumbo sticks). They are the same size as massivore sticks and I have never noticed any issues with smell. I've been using them in conjunction with other foods for about 3 years now.
Its a pretty Nice food, But it cost too much here! Trained my first Kelberi with it Tetra cichlid sticks (which I think that is pretty much the same), and it was pretty easy.
Im just feeding my fish with tropical carnivore for bottom feeders. Excellent pellet, they're too stinky, but don't make the water smell, and is pretty resistant to the water creating no waste. The only problem is because it's too hard. My juvenile Ceará kel seems to fight hard until can swallow it.
Yesterday I bought online a Tropical flowerhorn adult pellet, which seems to be a nice food. I saw in the description that it may help the flowerhorn to develop the hump, and if it work it will be incredible awesome for Cichla too! When it come here I post the feedback.
