Am I being Selfish?

So this weekend a brand new multi million dollar aquarium will be opening up in my area. Its considered one of the best in the U.S. I originally had planned on taking a day off of work next week to go by myself, away from the grand opening crowd, to enjoy the aquarium by myself, away from the n00bs, thousands of children, strollers, flashing cameras, etc.

Turns out my significant other thought that we could go together another day later next month. Now I feel guilty since the hobby is being supported. We have been to aquariums together and it went fine.

Im conflicted on what to do? Should I go by myself and then we can together another time? Should I just wait and go together? Thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing, I told her last night that its not like I wont be going to the aquarium several times a year...lol

Yeah...I wanted to fly out to go to the aquarium, but I have no money. I want to go BAD.

As for your dilemma...I'd say wait and go together and you can always go another time on your own. With the grand re-opening, I think it would be super crowded anyways and personally, I hate big crowds. So I would be annoyed anyways. Probably be a bit more calm on a weekday anyways and I'd think that would be a good time to go on your own and chill there.

That's a good question, I would want to go ASAP!! BUT, I hate doing things alone, it's way more fun for me if there's someone with me. One of my first dates with my current GF was to an aquarium(this was almost a year ago), I sort of ignored her the whole time and just walked around with my jaw on the floor. But she said she had a great time and wants to visit more. She sees that I'm way more into it than her, but tags along because it makes me happy.

I'm not sure where my point went... but I would try to get her to go with ASAP. Yeah, that sounds like a good compromise.

I would go by myself as that was my plan. Then visit another day with my significant other.
