just found pool filter sand at sear for $11.30 per 50lb bag. gonna check out the quikrete first

is it a good idea to put some egg crate down first then put sand over it

no i wouldnt, its just going to show and be ugly when they dig in the sand, what purpose would it serve?

I guess I paid the most for my 50lb bags for $11.99 each at Leslie's Pool Supply.

It was worth the few extra bucks over play sand. As a matter of fact, I started with play sand from the Home Depot and it was so bad I took it out and started over.
