Hey all,

Never moved out before, but the time has come! I am moving to southern MD, for a new job. I just decided on an apartment! I am extremely excited. I was able to find a healthy mix between affordable, but not ghetto, and still not ridiculously expensive.

Now for the question: Am I paying too much for rent? It is $921.50 per month, and I will be pulling (before taxes) $40,623 per year. Is this within my reasonable range?

I have NO debt whatsoever. (Well, no large debt. All I owe is $250 on my credit card. No car loans, no student loans, nothing) Is 921.50 reasonable/affordable for someone with my income?

Thanks!

Mostly worried about whether or not I will be able to make monthly payments on it!

However: 900 sq ft, 1 bed 1 bath, with a balcony. Built in 1999, new kitchen/appliances/countertop/cupboards. 2 miles from my work.

The place is called Lexington Park. Here is the deal though....All the lower places are either from the 1950s, or in EXTREMELY bad neighborhoods. Or a combination of the two.

Sweet.

$921, 1 bed, Patuxent River, MD 20670

Your rent is reasonable for your area.

I am more worried about whether or not I am paying too much for what I am making though.

It means, howmuch water do they alow in the apartment. Some places have that.

If you dont have any expensive hobbies, other than the hookers and the tanks, what you would be paying is standard for your income.
