Going foward we will see just how much a role the sunlight plays. Going into fall and winter the sun goes down at 4:30 around here way earlier than the 8' clock as it is now. We shall see if the Finnex can keep things going as well.
 
One last note. The tank don't get the sunlight all days. On days that are 85°F or hotter I close the blackout curtains to keep the apartment cool. Being raised in Texas heat I can tolerate a bit more heat than a normal Portlander. No heater in the tank as well. Been letting it just ebb and flow with the air temps. Been staying low to mid 80s during the day, dipping to 75 at night.
