From my experience with these wonderful animals is that they take ALOT of space to breed. Most that you see on the internet for sell are farmed now-a-days just because the average person doesn't have a spare acre of land to fence off and call home for there pet gators. Best set-up i've seen was a pond that was dug straight down on one side and came to a beach on the other. Not very deep 4ft at the best. He did the pond around some vegatation mainly trees cause gators use decompossing vegatation to incubate there eggs. Most people I know that breed gators wait for the eggs to be laid and then collect them which can be extremely dangerous since gators are very protective of there eggs and young. Crocs and gators are the only reptile that scientist know for sure have maternal instincts and will protect there young at all costs. Also gators become sexually mature at around 4-6yrs of age if I remember correctly at that time you will hear the bull start growling to attacked him a female. Best thing is make a setup as real to them as possible and get out of there life basically. They are great animals but to breed them you just put them together and let them be less human interaction the better your chances for eggs.
