All your Africans died? My 210 (with 75+ fish) was without power for over a week after a hurricane and I only lost one fish... of course I had prepared myself with a few cheap battery powered air pumps, reserve water, and a bottle of prime. The following week I hooked the main pumps up to the generator for a few hours a day till the power returned and the death toll only went up to two.
If you don’t like Africans, that’s fine..., we all keep what we like (I believe the original poster chose SA/CA). But, to say that they will die in a power outage and therefore should not be kept is a completely irrelevant and incorrect point. Fish die during power outages regardless of the type of fish, but this is due to not being prepared (not that anyone is always 100% prepared).
