Ammonia Readings

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My amonia readings is now very low. Its at 0.1ppm. Nitrite is still of the charts. I have a dead fish hanging around the aquarium to serve as constant source of ammonia.

I was wondering as to how long does it take for NO2 levels to drop to zero?

takes awhile ..........slower than getting the ammonia down.....but the reduction rate will speed up with time.............time to wait....

It takes longer? Just when I thought I was close to being finished... I guess its time to wait again...

are the nitrites still going up or starting to come down ???

Its still off the charts. Its the highest color on the color chart which is red.

Will do that tonight, thanks.

Current ammonia reading is zero, nitrite is .05, and nitrate is off the charts. Can I consider my cycling done eventhough I have a minute concentration of nitrite left?
