I dont know if anyone can tell me this but how many teaspoons of Instant Ocean salt would i need for a 30 gal tank and a 55 gal tank. to make them the correct brackish water level for a FW toadfish (grunting toadfish).

sorry i can't help with the salt, but i've had one for a little over a year with no salt at all. it's eating well and looks healthy. but your mileage may vary...

can u post picks of urs. im just curious. :)

i don't think you need to get real specific with the salt as these guys can live in full salt. i just wouldn't add any unless you need to.

ok what does urs eat. mine only eats shrimp and blue fish. and doesnt eat very much or often

thanks, i can't wait til it gets big! i feed it whole smelt and worms from the garden when i can get them, it really likes worms. it grunts when it eats too, cracks me up!

mine doesn't eat much, only 1 or (if i'm lucky) 2x a week.

SAME! its gonna be awsome when they get bigger like 7 to 12 inchs.thats a really nice picture quality nice camera. anyway how u get urs used to the light and does he eat when its on?

heres mine, yours probably doesnt eat much because its lazy lol. i have to spot feed it he eats every two days. mostly shrimp and the occasional tetras i put in the tank whenever there's a sale

it's in a 130g with one 4ft fluorescent tube, so the light isn't too bright as is. even with relatively dim lighting, it's usually in that tube you see to the right in the pic.

i have only ever fed it during the day so it always eats with the lights on with no problems.
