Ok so it has been a couple of days and everyone seems to be settled in. The sagittae’s have calmed down a bit with chasing each other, but the funny thing is that they aren’t chasing the tiger sd’s either. They’re just cohabitating rather peacefully. I know this can change at any moment, yet it’s nice to see a bit more movement in that tank with the dithers. 1 male sag is the dominant male and I’m hoping he picks a female soon because he is by far the grumpiest, yet prettiest in the tank. I will take newer photos of everyone settled in this weekend and post them here. Thank you for all the suggestions.
If they’re anything like my Nasties they’ll start ambushing them after the lights turn off

Jhay3513 Jhay3513 i believe those Nasties are way more aggressive than the sagittae’s. I’ve read that nasties freak out much quicker than most do. Beautiful fish though

Seems like I grow an affection for most fish, it’s all part of realizing I’m not rich and don’t have the extra room, so only the really special guys get to stay with me. At least, that’s what I tell myself.

I got my Sagittae in September from Jeff also. I started off with five, ended up with 3 males and two females. 13679581367959

I rehomed 1 Male, another male jumped out of the tank. I kept third male and named him Casper. 1367962 Here he is right after he finished peeling. 1367963 and here he is today.
He did spawn with both females. The first batch went bad and he promptly killed that female. Went a lot better with the second female. But in the end he did kill her as well.
I did try to house him with some non cichlids. But Casper is a jerk and relentlessly chased anything I tried.
