View attachment 1147366 14" 8 year old F1 Xiloaensis from Jeff rapps. Very similar temperament as most Amphilophs citrinellus/labatus/Amarillo/ and so on. The only less mild temperament amph I've personally notice from what I've kept is the Lyonsi

attachment 1147369 has shorter body head to tail and tall body at shoulders, i believe mine to be same species. what is that one? i'll try to get a pic of my "midas" tomorrow and you all can help me determine inshaAllaah if it is pure or mixed with r.d

With many of the Amphilophus genus it is near impossible to determine genetics of the fish by simply viewing some online photos, especially when they are juveniles. If you want to end up with fish like Buddy's, buy from a reputable source such as he did, where the collection location is known, and the the purity of the fish is certain. Otherwise all you are doing is playing an online guessing game.

Awesome Xilo, Buddy!
