Amquel Plus™ or Prime™

Neither, Microbe-Lift Super Dechlorinator beats both prime and amquel on so many levels. All you ever really need is a good dechlorinator and ML is superior hands down, you get what you pay for.. You shouldn't have to worry about ammonia or nitrites on a fully cycled tank and nitrates you have to do water changes to remove them.

In what ways are it better? Prime definitely gets the job done, so I would think the only thing that would be "better" would be something that gets it done cheaper (and by your description, it sounds like ML is more expensive)...

Cheaper isn't always better, you get what you pay for. Prime is good but it a chemical product unlike ML which is all natural and overall better for the fish. All ML products work great together and can be combined to do even greater things and you never have to worry about over dosing. You can cycle a tank in 24 hours with ML, beat that. ML is about quality and the peace of mind when using it and the effect on the fish is unmatched. I don't work for them but I should be getting paid for this ha ha.

I've used Prime for years and plan to continue. It's eventually just personal preference.

wow i just switch bc prime is more concentrated so you can buy less
1 gal of amquel does less than the big cylinder bottle of prime
and prime seems better in my tanks for some reason and it doesnt stink up the house when i do WCs

I trust my fish to Aqusafe.. we have well water and alot of metal impurities. If I could buy it in 5 gallon jugs I would.

Someone drank the kool aid lol! If ML is not a chemical what is it then, fairy farts or something else mystical? No bacteria in a bottle will cycle a tank in 24 hrs calling BS on that.

Use seachem safe unless you like throwing your money away. If you just have chlorine get a lifetime supply of sodium thiosulfate for $20.
