Amquel Plus™ or Prime™

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Someone drank the kool aid lol! If ML is not a chemical what is it then, fairy farts or something else mystical? No bacteria in a bottle will cycle a tank in 24 hrs calling BS on that.

Use seachem safe unless you like throwing your money away. If you just have chlorine get a lifetime supply of sodium thiosulfate for $20.

LMAO - x 2.

I only know of only one chlorine reducing product that might be considered natural, Vitamin C. http://www.fs.fed.us/t-d/pubs/html/05231301/05231301.html

After taking a closer look at Microbe-Lift Super Dechlorinator, and it's sister product Microbe-Lift Xtreme Dechlorinator, both appear to be similar reducing agents as to what's been marketed by numerous other companies over the past decade or more, and like a few others, use proprietary components.

Below is the MSDS for the "super" dechorinator.

You shouldn't have to worry about ammonia or nitrites on a fully cycled tank....

That would depend on a number of factors, such as if one has chloramine treated tap water, the temp of their water, the pH of their water, the volume of water being changed, etc. Ammonia is toxic to all aquatic life forms, including fish, even at reduced levels over extended periods of time. A fully cycled tank will remove the toxic side effects of ammonia, but it doesn't happen instantaneously when large water changes are being performed with chloramine treated tap water.

This is precisely why Microbe-Lift has a water conditioning formula for chlorine, and one for chloramine.

I see nothing "superior" in either of these formulas.

Cheaper isn't always better, you get what you pay for. Prime is good but it a chemical product unlike ML which is all natural and overall better for the fish. All ML products work great together and can be combined to do even greater things and you never have to worry about over dosing. You can cycle a tank in 24 hours with ML, beat that. ML is about quality and the peace of mind when using it and the effect on the fish is unmatched. I don't work for them but I should be getting paid for this ha ha.

Any research out there to prove that it is better for fish? I've never heard anything about prime being "bad" for fish... And about dosing, I've never heard of anyone overdosing prime. Supposedly you can get up to 2-3x the recommended dose without causing harm to the fish (and I'd think that much of an OD would just be from blatant carelessness)...

Most water conditioners can kill fish if overdosed at extreme levels. I've seen the results first hand.

Comparing ML to the other conditioners is like comparing apples to green peppers, I've tried all the others and can say with out a doubt ML is superior when it comes right down to it. I'm not saying the others don't work, they do and are good, just ML quality is the gold standard IMHO. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself and see. The ML website also has info and video explaining what makes theirs better then all the rest. My record time for cycling a tank is 2-3 days with ML and that's with fish, the fish simply respond better with ML. You really think I would favor ML over the super cool one capful Prime ? Are you kidding ? Must be something really good in the ML to make me keep coming back. Maybe it is the koolaid but damn my fish love it. I did try using these other products, but the quality just isn't there. ML medication is mind blowing, it just works and fast, as does all their product. Unlike the other conditioners, ML doesn't have to hype things up, they use science, it's used mostly by Pond owners, but I never met a hard core pond owner who didn't use ML, just saying.

Speaking of smelly farts, I guaranteed, you never smelled anything as stinky as ML Special Blend, it's special alright, that's why it works lol

Okay I think we all get that you love this product, now the question is: where are the facts? All of your posts so far can basically be condensed down into "ML is better because it is. Try it yourself." which is obviously not making anyone more inclined to chose this product over their current dechlorinator. If you aren't going to post anything substantial, why post at all?
