More on topic: I think you have a great idea with the biotope collection thread, but by bringing up fracking you opened up a veritable Pandora's box of off topic and sidebar conversations.
Oh yeah that's the point, I want to get a bunch of different biotope videos not only of rivers that would be affected by badly regulated fracking but also by timber harvesting and such. Just to keep it in peoples minds that the way to go is green energy. If we were to dedicate the resource to creating bio fuel that we dedicate to fracking we would become energy efficient and stop effecting our environment and eventualls by that, ourselves. People turn practically anything into biodiesel including algae, sugar cane etc. I recall someone had made a protein that actually synthesized fuel as its byproduct. The whole point is just to keep it on peoples minds the best way to go is renewable, we don't know what effect taking out massive amounts of gas will have on the areas where fracking is taking place, or even by taking out so much oil yet.
