Anyone have pet anacondas? I'm looking for a female, green or yellow baby or breeding adult...it don't matter. I'm interested in breeding to a super friendly 3 year old male green anaconda. He's nice size and heavier than he looks. His name is Kong. Let me know any info in nearby areas. Thanks.

Yea they are illegal but can be transported in some cases...it must not be impossible considering I have met quite a few others in NY that owned them (both species)...unfortunately when I'm looking, I can't find them. Just taking the chance by asking on here, I'm new to this site so basically I'm just testing the waters of what I can get my hands on and how much I could get it for...how about alligators, anyone know of a breeder?

Those few others are doing so illegally.. Nobody cares and most likely nothing will be done, but it is still illegal. As far as alligators and breeders, yes I know of a few.. But as I find it hard to believe they could even possibly be legal there, and find it about as hard to believe that you have the space to care for one up there, I'm not sure telling you who would be the best idea..

All crocodilians are illegal in New York state; I'm not sure if they issue permits or not. From what I've read, New York's not the best state for reptiles, especially New York City.

For future reference, MFK doesn't condone illegal activities such as obtaining banned animals.

Well trust me I'm not just some dumb ass that is just trying to get a bunch of animals without knowledge or concern fir their well being. Also I'm not trying to overcrowd some NYC apartment building...I'm not like that, I actually have years of experience dealing with all kinds of reptiles and exotic animals, plus I own my own house with over an acre of property and a large finished basement, and I'm on long island in the suburbs. Like I said i was just testing the waters of my possibilities and prices. I'm working on a license to keep exotics for either a pet store or a rescue. I know you guys don't know me but I figured I would clear that up so you all know I am not an *******. ;-)

Also how can MFK not condone illegal or banned animals? Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't snakheads and piranhas illegal in most states? I know snakeheads are...they cannot be transported or captured for anything other than medicinal purposes maybe to eat them but that's pretty much it. There are quite a few people on here with these banned fish and they're breeding them.

Reticulated pythons and African rock pythons are also illegal in most states as well, but they are still a dime a dozen even here in NY.
