AnalFin GONE!

Hi guys I've just bought a baby Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri from my local pet store and after i went home i realise that my endlicheri only have its left anal fin while the right 1 is completely gone... I'm wondering if u guys know if the anal fin will ever grow back or it's gonna be a gone forever?

Yes it is missing but hard to notice in the pic if there's a trace of it left. I have read from sources that Polypterus have been known to be purchased with 1 pectoral fin but the other one grew back.

If it doesn't grow back will it affect its swimming or anything other thing?

Only if it was a male they need the anal fin to cup and fertilize the eggs other than that poly should be fine.
