And now for a Banjo lesson...

I have only had him for a few hours, but he did croak when I picked him up.

Yes, a group would be fun. I might just get one more to they are at least in familiar company.

Mine moved around but it didn't look odd. I'll have to watch for fin movement next time.

thats a weird looking catfish..ive seen them on some of my sites for fish and reptiles but never really looked at them so closely..

x2..

He looks cool! Saw a couple at the lfs the other day, now I wish I picked one up :grinno:

nice pickup, gotta love the way they scoot along the bottom without moving their fins
Saw it! Looks like they use their gills as jets. Saw tons of sand blasted up behind him as he coasted around. Wasn't just using his ventrals, I saw him using them as rudders mostly. Didn't know any true fish used the octopus method to get around.

I love Banjo Cats! Not going to lie...they are boring, but I love the way they look...when I see them;)

Mine hasn't hidden yet. I take people to the tank and say, "See that stick?" They confirm that they see the stick and I say, "It's a fish!". And they go "whoa!". And then about three seconds go by before complete boredom fills the air. I think of him as living zen.

I know we all think 5 gallons is too small for almost anything, but he really seems to be doing well in there. I'll check nitrates at the end of the week and see what kind of mess he's made but it certainly is seeming like a potentially permanent home.
