first off nice job. the fish look great. the tank looks real nice. i am glad you are having sucess. it just gets old when ppl do things like this that are very risky and don't put up any pics. or claim they don't have a camera or its broken. a camera phone pic is even better than nothing.

so how's this going? any aggression as they have settled in? what do you have the temp at?

pretty cool fella

A very interesting idea. Great pictures. Hope everything goes smoothly for you and them

Everything seems to be ok between them, Although the larger seems to have gotten MUCH more aggressive towards the smaller in the last week. I am feeding constantly to make sure that he doesnt get hungry.. No damage done to the smaller specimen just alot of "displaying" and chasing. There are some signs of pit building, the the smaller is very reclusive during daylight hours and tends to stay behind the plants, so its hard to say if there is any courtship behavior. The water is at 80 degrees farenheit. ans the PH is slightly below 7.0. I am actually going to be setting up a larger pump for them, to increase water movement to see if that has ay impact on the relationship between them, i will also drop the temperature for a couple of days aswell.. We shall see..

thanks for the update. get a camera setup to record them so you won't miss anything. and they may behave differently when you are in front of them

As long as there is no physical damage done to them when i check up on them, im not really concerned with what they are doing. i try not to get hung up on that aspect of things, things have been going good so far. i think that when people constantly tinker and play and worry about things is when studd goes wrong. i have seen alot of people get their hopes up just to come home to dead fish and broken dreams.. i just did some remodeling, pots are now out of the tank, slightly larger pump. well see what happens from here.
