Here is one of the more popular pictures. Also it looks like you have some Koi in that "pond", those get even larger.

That fish also happens to be one of the largest captive goldfish in the world, his name is Bruce.

Here are some large goldfish pictures I post pretty often.

That "pond" looks pretty small for those goldfish and if there is acid rain in there I suggest you change your water ASAP.

Keep in mind you don't count the tail when measuring a fish. After all, the tail doesn't go to the bathroom.

I have evidence against Bruce- he is 15" and weighs 30 or so pounds. He's lines go a couple decades back in Asia to achieve such a large goldfish.

I've seen this before, too- during a tournament, that guy caught that goldfish. Apparently, someone had released it into the lake. He measured in at about 12".

This is most likely a released goldfish or a moryph (sp?) carp. That fish is no more than about 13".

This was a goldfish or some type of carp that caught and measured at about 10".

This may be a goldfish, but if you look at the build first-generation carp/koi is in there some where. Also, this fish was caught... In lakes, streams, oceans, rivers, etc., every second there's a water change- Mother Nature's water change! That's why are home-raised fish rarely grow to such sizes.

I have seen all of these pictures before... And I know their stories :banhim: .

you can measure a fish with or without tails/fins, with them is called Total Length or TL, without them is called Standard Length or SL, scientific records do use SL most of the time though a lot of us don't so we can boast the sizes of our fish muahahahaha

anyway, there has been wild carp (same species as koi but without coloration) that was caught at almost 6 feet however most koi don't grow past 3 ft even in huge ponds, we can't count extremes and expect our fish to grow that large, we don't all grow into shaqs and yaos, what i was saying was: no way goldfish grow to 2 ft on average even in optimal conditions

Bruce is one huge oranda

fisker- Snakeheads are illegal to own... Atleast where I live.

Fry- In that case my comet in my 10 gallon is 5 inches, my big common in my pond is 7 inches, my little common in my pond is 5 inches, and my shubunkin is a whopping 10 inches :D .
