Angel fish breeding

Beast, depends if your pairs are fry raisers... if not... hatching them out themselves are pretty easy as well. Just place the eggs in a jar or tank, add a few drops of methylene blue into the jar or tank, everyday siphon out just a little water and add dechlorinated water back into the jar or tank, and by the time they all fall down from the slate, take out the slate, lower the aeration, and let them do their thing...they will look like their heads are glued together, this is normal, dont worry about it..continue taking out some water and replacing them until the angelfishes are free swimming...when they are..make sure you have newly hatch bbs to feed them....dont disturb them too much here...after a week, dump them into a 5.5 gallon and you should be out of the redzone... every thing after that...is fairly easy and less labor intensive... you should have about 20-50 frys... keep doing this and once you get good... you'll be on your way to 200-500 frys... Alee.

Thanks for the help how long till mine pair up.

if you are breeding to keep strains pure then don't mix strains whereas the same strain from seperate parents can be mixed. the only exception to this is if they have clearly visable differences to distinguish between them.
if you are just breeding angelfish with no intention of keeping strains pure then stick them all in the same tank!!
just my 2cents but i'm sure you'll get differing opinions.

I have two breeding pairs in my 120 planted tank right now. They both started breeding few weeks ago. Started with 10 4 of them paired off. The first pair laid eggs then a week later second pair. I siphoned my fry into a jar after about 4 days at wiggler stage. First batch I kept the jar floating in main tank with just air bubbler since I didn't have a fry tank ready. I setup a 5 gallon tank to use as my first growout tank with a well seeded sponge filter taken from another tank. The second batch I siphoned into the jar but I stood it up in the fry tank separated from the first batch until they began free swim stage then I released them with the first batch. Right now my first pair laid again 3 days ago. So now there in wiggler stage. I will also siphon them into a jar in a few more days and stand it in the fry tank like the second batch. This is what I done not suggesting you do exactly the same but this is working for me. Plan to move the fry to a 20 gallon when they get bigger. Then something bigger when needed.
I have some videos of my Angles and fry below click link

Oh about your breeding setup. I don't think you need 55g tanks. You can breed them in standard 20g. Or like me keep them all in together and just separate the wigglers when its time. I separated mine only cause there's other fish in the main tank they bred in.
