Angel fish breeding

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My Angel fry are the most laziest fry I ever raised. They like to lay on there sides on the bottom. Is this normal?

Well my 2 breeding pair in my 120 bred every week for 5 weeks straight. I finally removed the other 4 that were not paired off. The two pairs took a 2 week rest with no spawning then yesterday 1 pair spawned then today the other pair spawned. So now I have two batches of eggs at the same time! in the tank. There so close to each other too about 7" apart but separated by big Amazon sword leafs.

Maybe I over feed them is why they lay on there sides.

Thanks, but the 2nd pair male went over and attack the other pairs eggs and started eating them. So I cut the leaf out to save some of them. The four Angels I moved out I separated into pairs each in 10g tanks. Well one of those other pairs bred on the filter tube. Didn't know it cause the tanks are full of plants and can't see the intake tube very well. So I now have 3 breeding pairs!
