I came home tonight to my surprise to think that gravel somehow got pushed up onto the leaf..upon further inspection I was SHOCKED:)and happy?

Can someone please let me know, as this is my first with angels..are these fertilized...are they not?
How can I tell if my other angel(Used to be 3 now down to 2) is a male/female?...
The one in most of the photos is very protective of the eggs so far....

I don't know what to do with the eggs?Should I take them out, is it to early to tell if it's worth it..because I know for sure they will get eaten.
This is suppose to just be a grow out tank haha..did not plan this..

I was trying to add more angels but those three were rescues and went into the tank together..now every time I try and introduce one no success...

I've also attached a short clip of her/him around the eggs...Sorry for the awful pictures.video...I still have no idea how to take a decent photo ect of fish in a tank..booo lol

Thanks again:)

Those indeed look fertilized to me! The tan color is what you're looking for. White eggs are no good. IME, it's best to let the parents raise the eggs. They do all the work keeping them clean and oxygenated.

HOWEVER, if you have other fish in the tank they may get eaten. What are the tank mates? The main problem is when the lights go out and things like catfish are active.

Since they are on a leaf, it would make them easy to move. It's really a decision you have to make.

Yeah..I woke up this morning...and half of them are gone..It's probably in their best interest, and my curiosity that I move them to a safe haven....How do I go about doing this?Do I need to set up alternative tank or i there some type of hanging compartment I can place them in?

Like mentioned, this is a grow out tank, and I was not at all expecting this. They are housed with a BGK(small), and some tetras...oo and there are also a group of rosy barbs in there..all of which seem to get along..however I have a feeling and from this morning assuming if left..they will be eaten:)

Is there anyway to sex angel fish that aren't that old? These guys were the size of dimes a few monthes ago..or smaller..

Thanks:)

That rosy barb in pic#6 sure looked like it was eyeballing a buffet.

haha...Yeah no kidding:)I'm heading out after work today to pick up an alternative 20 gallon tank to put the remaining eggs in.

Another quick question..how would I transfer the eggs into the other aquarium if they're attached to a live plant?
Everything I've read talks about a slate slab but..I didn't plan on breeding these guys but..I'll try my hand at it:)

You don't need to remove the white eggs if you have the parents in with them as they should take care of all that.

To move the eggs, simply move the plant. Use the same water that's currently in the tank. Are you going to move the parents as well?

you should carefully move other fish out of that tank and let the parents take care of the eggs and fry, angel fish are great parents!

If the eggs are not fertile then the parents will eat them. My females lay eggs about once a month but only one of my males had ever produced any fertile eggs. If any make it then you need to start the brine shrimp hatchery and daily feedings of fresh newly hatched and rinsed brine shrimp. and the feedings are messy so do lots of water changes.
