Angelfish Spawn!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for all of the compliments!!! They are very appreciated!!!!

Nothing much to update though. I plan to move spawn #7 into a 10 gallon to allow the parents to rest up, and then breed again. This spawn has only about 50 babies in it.

Spawn 4 and 5 are getting bigger and bigger in the 55 gallon I think they will be ready some time in march!!

And... Spawn #6 is doing good. they are growing and eating really well!

Is there a way to change your user name?? I'm thinking of changing it to something that has to do with Angelfish...

I moved the Spawn #7 into the ten gallon 3 days ago.

Today I noticed that the parents where cleaning a spot on my algea scrapper, so I took that out. I also put back in the 2 teroccotta pots for them to lay there eggs on. So Hopefully by Saturday there will be more eggs.

Huston, we have a problem.... More anglefish eggs....

they have layed Probably close to 300 eggs in total....!!!!

they encircle half of the terrocotta pot and were still laying eggs last time I looked.

my Angel eggs are about 2 week old i think ? There swimming around like crazy ! Its not quit time to feed them yet, But i was wondering how long before they will start looking like little Angel fish ? im so excited ! i moved them to a 10 gal. today an boy o boy theres a bunch !! Maybe 100 or more. Was just wondering how long b4 they looked like little Angels ?

Disaster! The parents have nocked off about half of the eggs and are just leaving them lying on the bottom of the tank!!!

I think that they will be fine though, becaust they should be hatching tomorrow.

Good luck with all of your Angelfish babies! Wait! They are 2 weeks and you still haven't fed them yet???
I Think that for me it is about at 3 weeks when there fins start to look more normal and about 1 month or so for them to get there feeler thingies...

Big Problems with the Newest Spawn!! (Spawn #8) The eggs that had fallen off I think were eaten over night.... Now there are about 40 eggs left.....

i have a question for u.

i have 2 pair of breeder angels divided in my 125. it doesnt seem to be working out. i think the tank is to big and the fry can swim threw the small holes in the divider.

i had free swimming fry and they seem to be all gone after 3 days. i was trying to feed them baby brine but couldnt tell if they were eating.

so im think of getting 2 15gal tanks with just a heater and sponge filter in each for each breeding pair. after the fry are a few weeks old i could move the adults back to the 125. then after a month or so move the fry back to the 125 to make room for additional spawns. does this sound good?
